On June 14, 2014 at 08:46PM Mark Said…I am sure I am going to get a lot of flack for this but if you know me then you also know that I could give a rats ass. I don’t give 2 flying fucks…hell I won’t even give you one. With that being said I shall begin my heretical (to some that love their music shoeshined before consuming) rant. 1) This album is raw. Gritty and not overly produced. This hasn’t been polished into oblivion like Dark side was. Now don’t get me wrong. I love DSotM but there is just something about Floyd’s music (especially Gilmore’s guitar work) that just sounds even more brilliant when not smothered with over production and special effects. 2)The lyrics on this album are brutal. Water’s goes straight after the Corporate and Religious establishments with ferocity not found on any other Pink Floyd album. He pulls no punches and goes straight for the jugular like a rabid dog. Hmmmm under the circumstances of the album and its lyrics maybe a different analogy should have been used..hee hee but you get what I am saying. It’s a full on frontal assault. P.S. Not that any of you probably give a shit but “Sheep” is my favorite on here. Enjoy
On June 14, 2014 at 08:21PM Mark Said…Yeah Yeah Yeah I have heard it before….”Oh Back in Black is sooo awesome. Best Brian Johnson era album ever blah blah fuckin blah.” Well sorry I don’t agree. Flick of the Switch to me is by far the best one. It doesn’t have a catchy little top 40 friendly diddy on it like “You shook me all night long” which is probably why it didn’t have the same success of B&B but that’s fine for me. I don’t judge albums by album sales. If I did then I would believe that Def Leppard’s best album was Hysteria which most surely isn’t by a fucking mile. Pyromania kicked that albums ass. But back to FotS. Every song on this album just fucking rocks. Hit play and CRANK THAT MUTHA UP!!!!!!!! “I want you to hear me out there
