So our main sewer line has been backing up when we flush the toilet…had a plumber out today and discovered that our pipe is broken. So they’re going to have to come out, dig up the basement and replace the pipe. This is on top of the fact that our roof needs replaced…luckily insurance is covering that because it was damaged due to storms…but man when it rains it pours…no pun intended. I’m just hoping that after we get all this taken care of we get a reprieve for a while and nothing else goes wrong…because this stuff isn’t cheap.
In other news Kenzie started his new job today. I hope it goes well for him, this is his first full time 40 hour a week job and he was a bit nervous about it. But I’m sure he’s going to be fine.
So I work from home, and today one of my Work monitors started showing signs of dying, with dead pixels. When I first got sent home to work they just had me bring home my whole work station that I was using the office….so far the computer itself and my phone have both had to be replaced. I’m wonder why they didn’t just give me a new set to begin with to avoid this whole thing?!?!? Anyway so now I have to go down to the office and take my dying monitor to swap it for a good one….sometimes things make no sense….

So I’ve been doing acupuncture and While I always feel great directly afterwards, I’m not sure that it’s having any major affect on me. But it has only been like 4 sessions so far and maybe it just takes time. I’ve never been a patient person. I really just want to be able to live my life without back pain. I’m so tired of dealing with it all the time. I want to be able to do things like walk through a store.
I’m already planning My Thanksgiving dinner. This year we’re actually doing it the day after Thanksgiving because we both have to work the day before and we need a day to prep, so we settled on having dinner on the 25th. I’m going full traditional for the Thanksgiving…Turkey and all the usual sides. However I think we’re going to do something completely different for Christmas. We may do something Mexican, We haven’t quite decided yet.
I had my first acupuncture appointment last night….I felt very good afterwards. I really hope that it helps me with all the back/hip pain. I’m still doing physical therapy, but I mean it’s not really helped in the past so I’m not expecting much, but we’ll see how it goes…
So I have recently accepted a promotion the role of Resource Coordinator at work. I’m super excited about the new position and I’m really enjoying being able to work with people and helping them. The position allows me to better utilize my office skills also which I really like. I also really like the company I work for, I feel like they’re a very good company.
Today I made a big pot of Minestrone Soup (recipe after the break) and we had that and meatball subs for dinner. It was the first time I did minestrone soup and man I’m glad I did, it came out fantastic.
