Do people seriously believe that because you need social benefits you’re a low class loser who deserves nothing. I mean for crying out loud. When did it become the “Cool” thing to do to hate poor people? The worst part about it is, that I even see those who were once poor and needing help themselves, wanting to punish the poor by making things harder for them.
If you seriously take issue with someone being poor and needing assistance, then I would have the say the problem is with you not the poor person. I mean do people honestly believe that people enjoy being poor and needing to ask for help? Being is poor is tough and nobody wants to be there.
You know what happens when a person is on food stamps and can’t buy something with food stamps? They Sell the food stamps to buy what they can’t with those food stamps. It already happens all the time, why would something like this make it better? This is the most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard. It’s not like EBT recipients are living the high life. But if Steak or seafood is on sale why shouldn’t they be allowed to buy it? In any case we would all be better served by implementing a Basic Income then we wouldn’t need welfare or food stamps.
Got up today, had breakfast, did some light yoga, then hopped in the shower. It might not seem like much to most people, but finally being able to accomplish so much without wearing out because of my Graves disease makes me feel incredibly good 🙂
